Ethiopia not to move embassy to Holy Quds

Algiers, June 12, IRNA – In the wake of some gossips on Ethiopia ambassador's participation in US embassy relocation ceremony, the Ethiopian government announced the country will not move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds.

According to Arab media ‘Al Mayadeen’ after Zionist regime police attack on Monks of an Ethiopian Church in Quds, the Ethiopian government threatened to summon its envoy.

Ethiopian chargé d'affaires to occupied Palestine condemned Israeli police attack, calling for finding urgent solution to this issue.

On December 6, 2017 US President Donald Trump decided to relocate US diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds and recognize Quds as capital city of the Zionist regime of Israel.

On May 24, US in a ceremony moved its embassy to Holy Quds.

This is while Ethiopian Foreign Ministry spokesman Meles Alem announced that the country did not intend to move its embassy and its stance was in line with that of African Union.
